These terms govern your use of fortunecookieshirt.com and any purchase you make from Fortune Cookie Shirt (“we,” “us”), based in Las Vegas, Nevada. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Fortunes are for fun

Fortunes and lucky numbers are entertainment. They aren’t predictions, advice, or a guarantee of anything, including lottery or gambling results. Please don’t make financial, medical, legal, or life decisions based on a cookie.

How fortunes are made

Fortunes are generated by software, including AI tools, and checked against every fortune we’ve ever issued. We review our process carefully, but we can’t guarantee every fortune will suit every reader. If one misses the mark, crack a new cookie tomorrow.

One cookie a day

Each browser gets one cookie per day, resetting at midnight Pacific time. Please don’t use bots, scripts, or other automated means to crack cookies, collect fortunes, or get around the daily limit. We may block access or cancel orders that do.

Uniqueness guarantee

Within our system, no two claimed shirts share the same fortune text or the same set of six lucky numbers. Once claimed, a fortune is retired and won’t be issued again. “Same” means the same words after ignoring capitalization and punctuation; similar phrasings or shared individual numbers don’t count as duplicates. This guarantee covers fortunes issued by Fortune Cookie Shirt, not text that may exist elsewhere in the world.

Claiming and ordering

You can claim the fortune you cracked until midnight Pacific on the same day. After that, the claim window closes. A fortune is reserved for you only after your payment succeeds. Prices are listed in US dollars and include the shirt and printing; shipping and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but not for an order you’ve already paid for.

We may refuse or cancel any order, for example in cases of suspected fraud, a pricing error, or a production issue. If we cancel, we’ll refund you in full.

Sealed gifts

A sealed gift is a brand-new fortune written at checkout and hidden from you. It ships to the address you provide. Because the fortune is never shown before it arrives, it can’t be previewed, changed, or swapped.

Shipping

Every shirt is printed to order. We ship to US addresses only. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand your order to the carrier. See our Shipping & Returns policy.

Cancellations, returns, and refunds

Cancellations: you can cancel for a full refund if your order hasn’t entered production. Email us as soon as possible, ideally within 2 hours of ordering.

Returns: because each shirt carries a fortune that exists exactly once and is made just for you, we don’t accept returns or exchanges for size, fit, or change of mind.

Misprints, damage, defects: if your shirt arrives misprinted, damaged, or defective, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We’ll reprint your exact fortune free or issue a full refund.

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.

Promo codes

Promo codes must be entered at checkout, can’t be combined with each other or with a points discount unless we say so, have no cash value, and may expire or be withdrawn at any time.

Accounts

You can create an account with just your email. We sign you in with a one-time link instead of a password, so keep your inbox secure. One account per person. We may suspend accounts used for fraud or abuse, including gaming streaks or points.

Points and streaks

Earning. While signed in, you earn 10 points the first time you crack a cookie each day (Pacific Time), plus streak bonuses for consecutive days: 15 points on day 3, 50 on day 7, 100 on day 14, and 250 on day 30 and every 30 days after. Missing a day resets your streak. Claiming an edition earns 50 points per order once payment succeeds.

Spending. 500 points can be applied for $5 off a claim at checkout, one redemption per order. Points are deducted when the order is paid. A $5 points discount can’t be combined with a promo code on the same order.

Expiry and value. Points expire 12 months after they’re earned. Points have no cash value, can’t be sold, transferred, or exchanged for cash, and aren’t your property. If an order is refunded or canceled, we may remove the points it earned and may restore points it used.

Changes. We may change how points are earned or spent, or end the program, with 30 days’ notice on this page. Points earned before a change keep their expiry date. We may correct points awarded in error.

Your fortune and our content

The site, brand, designs, and software belong to Fortune Cookie Shirt. When you buy a shirt, it’s yours to wear, gift, and resell. You may share your fortune and photos of your shirt anywhere you like. Please don’t copy our site, branding, or designs to sell products of your own.

Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t promise the site will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the site or an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. Before filing any claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally first.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
